Internet, the infamous monster in Minsk

I didn’t actually realize how big a task it would be to get Internet on my computer.

So far it seems to me, that the easiest way is, if you have a smartphone and then you can just have Internet on that device by buying the appropriate cards. However, I do not own a smartphone, so I had to find another solution.

One option is what I have just found out about, thanks to a Belgian girl. You just have to connect to a wireless network (which is only available in the study room), you have to send a message on your phone to a given number (depends on how much time you want to surf), and then you have to type in the username and the password you’re given via SMS. Simple!

FYI: 1 hour costs around 6700 BYR (~0.7 USD/155 HUF)

Option no. 2: I was smart enough to forget at home my Internet USB-stick, so if my parents will send it to me, I could “unlimited” internet for a cheaper price. Until then, I’ll stick to option no. 1, since I already put money on my mobile phone. Then I will go for option no.1 :)
